Activities! Activities! Activities!
(This is Ben’s common phrase. He says this phrase while throwing his fists up and down in the air with a big goofy smile on his face. A pretty funny image.)
I decided…I am going to keep a list of 5 activities that I participate in/will participate in. And yes…I picked an arbitrary number, but I do have a reason for this random declarative sentence…
When people ask “So, what do you do?,” you start talking about your job, your family, and your demographics. Sometimes when they decide to ask you what you REALLY do, you may kind of hesitate and say some generic sentence like “Oh I workout and camp in the summer…pick my nose….blah blah blah.” I have TOTALLY been caught off guard with that sneaky second sentence and have to think about what else I do besides the ordinary, routine things like work, workout, brush my teeth, etc. I mean, I do have other hobbies that make me some sort of unique, interesting individual, but I don’t do them nearly enough if I have to think really hard about what I REALLY do with my time.
I have started an activity list where 3 activities are ones I try to do at least once a week and the other are seasonal. This is totally an arbitrary number that I randomly chose. It just seemed like a good, strong number. 😉

I like to work and I love my job; I find fulfillment in working hard. But it’s important to invest in yourself in other ways like learning a new skill, trying a new recipe, volunteering for your community, or doing anything that will help you mentally, physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Your activity list can be things that help you attain a goal or just something you enjoy doing.
Now go find yourself some ACTIVITIES! And make sure you have enough room for them.
